Bio

Victoria Wiegand is a Computer Science PhD candidate at Trinity College Dublin (TCD), supported by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Doctoral Network HARNESS. Her research focuses on investigating novel models for the collective governance of professional knowledge AI data spaces through machine-readable digital rights policies. She is supervised by Dr. Dave Lewis and Dr. Maria Grazia Porcedda.

Victoria holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Computer Science from Villanova University (USA). In her Master's thesis, she explored methods to educate users and mitigate biases in AI vision-language models. Previously, she was a U.S. National Science Foundation Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) fellow at the University of Connecticut (USA), where she researched and developed technical tools to support voting rights policy.
